Thursday March 10, '55 Darling Tafern Mrs. Harold Everndt?, who does all the bookkeeping for her father-in-law, came yesterday and left the check for $45.05. The balance is now 569.14 Thanks for Harold's check. I can't find my Wheaton savings book. Have looked through my desk with no results. Hope Nancy gets through O.K. - Maybe she will have better eating habits hereafter, but I think it should be rubbed into her that it is her own fault that she had appendicitis. Frank had gone to bed and the house locked up. Fortunately the front screen was not hooked so I got in through the front window that is never fastened - radio cord prevents. He didn't say anything to indicate he woke up and I said nothing - unpacked, had bath and looked over quantity of mail - your two letters first, of course -
