It is very interesting to me to get her viewpoint. Belonging as she does to the middle-class which always supports a government, she is loyal to the Keiser and not at all informed as to the movement of the minor Soc. party in Germany. There is an interesting article in the Appeal (July 7) (KKM- Appeal to Reason, published in Girard, Kansas) on the possibility of a Revolution in Germany. To my mind that is the only think that will end the War. G. Bernhard Shaw wrote an article at the beginning of the War that was headed, "If we can't beat Potsdam we must depend upon an American Alliance." See how fore-sighted he is! Last Friday aft. there was a meeting of the Mothers' Congress {parentheses and initials inserted in a different hand, in different ink} (later to become the PTA KKM) which was almost torn asunder by a discussion of topics akin to the War.
