User-Contributed Transcription [1931] Monday a.m. My Dear Katharine got good news. mother come home sunday afternoon & is strongly thinking of giving up the hotel & I feel glad to no she is geting sick & tired of her Job its to hard on her & we both to go back & forth & more hard on my feat & knees both as the later are so lame all the time & all the time I suffer pain, some times its harder than other times. I have just finished a double not stitch cap for malcomb, hope it will fit I will send with it money for ribon rosettes to go over the top of cap & ribon to run in back of shell stitch to draw up & tie as a Plane Piese to go under chin & fasten with snap or hook & eye then wont get the strings in his mouth & soil wish I could see him when you Put it on him wish I could see him any way. wanted to line the cap with net but mother objected to weare it Just so all right in warm weather
