User-Contributed Transcription truck stop at the junction of 70 and 27. Had a very good meal except that my hot roast beef sandwich turned out to be dried beef that I brought home to the cats as I couldn't chew it. There was plenty of good rye bread, real butter and rich milk. Mrs. Howe went over to see Mrs. Quiller's shrubs, etc, and renew the acquaintance she made when here last. Visited again in the evening and she left at 10:00 Thursday a.m. went to the grocery use aft. and she paid the bill, $9.05 for me, and bought half and half, yellow corn meal and cottage cheese for herself, all of which she left here. She cooked the corn meal for bkfst Thursday morning Later Mabel called that she had a chance to go, so I cancelled the call to the Quillers-
