User-Contributed Transcription 6/So glad he can have this outing. And I'm glad you have renters at last in the apt. I don't seem to recall Mrs. Thompson, but I'm glad she is active. Was she a Poetaster?, or a Woman's Club member? I hope when the vote is taken that everybody will be on record, as we will know whom to turn down next election. I think the vote will be postponed until after election for that very purpose. I am glad Papa sent you his pictures, and gladder that he will help out on Marvin's tuition this next year. We had only a few days of really hot weather. We have had plenty of rain as far, and nice freezes. Thank you my Dearie for planning a b.day present for me. I need a pair of house slippers, but the ones you have sent heretofore were much too large, so I hesitate about consenting, as it is so hard to be fitted by mail. Don't you know what an awful time we used to have fitting Grandma? Thanks for the stamps. They are like manna from Heaven. How are Malcolm, Clara, and Maxine? Does the latter take to the sandpile, or is it she quite old enough to enjoy it? Now 2:30am and to bed again. Much love to all, Mother
