User-Contributed Transcription Mrs. May Walden 420 West Bell street Avon Park, Fla. sent greeting to you and were sorry you were not here. I told them I'd tell you all about it. I carried one of my geodes to be put with the collection of "specimens" at the library, and it brought a very interesting conversation about Utah and the immense geodes found there, the radar and other exhibitions of atomic power, the Tabernacle at Salt Lake City, etc. etc. Mr. Slaughter has been employed by the Govt. ( I believe) and big companies to search for evidence of the presence of different minerals and chemicals in Utah and other localities. Miss Slaughter, at my request, gave me the balance of the lovely turkey that I couldn't eat, and added a leg bone of the bird. The cats were very appreciative.  You write of dyeing the fruit "the way they have done in Calif." I must admit and condemn Florida for having- and still does - the same crime. Yes I enjoyed very much the Florida article in Time. One man, don't remember who or what he is, wanted the Govt. to forbid the circulation of that copy of Time, and I forget his silly reason now.  Mildred Wray and Frank came late Christmas Eve
