User-Contributed Transcription Mrs. May Walden 420 West Bell Street, Box 853 Avon Park, Fla. 4 a.m. June 24, 1944 Darling Lafern: I've decided to go to Highlands for 3 or 4 weeks. It is awful hot here every day, 94Âº on the porch and no rain. All my renters urge me to go, especially Mrs. Wells. She says she will look after everything take care of the cat in her confinement (July 16) and anything else she can do. Haven't heard from Frank since he sent his socks when you were here, except a bundle of May Metamora Heralds. so I think he must have gone West for his vacation, as he planned doing the last letter I had. Had a nice letter from Malcolm which I answered right away. I enclose it and the two from Helen McKinney Thompson. Belle
