Dear Bro
I have waited long & anxiously to hear from you but as yet have not received but one letter from Home Dated July 7th by the kindness of others I learn you are all well which gives me the greatest pleasure I assure you anything from Home in the shape of papers or letters to others makes me long for something of the kind to be assured by your own lips as it were that I am not entirely forgotten. do not forget to send me the latest news papers published in Chicago and another thing direct all papers Letters for my self to Sacramento City Cal. I have been stopping at the Empire Scince I came out of the mines (kept by Keith, Spottswood & Smith) for the reasonable sum of $21 per week for board & $16 for lodging for the same space of time makeing the sum of $148 per month or what is more reasonable $1.776.00 per annum for board what do you think of that would you not think it was quite a reasonable Salary at Home We think no more of paying this amt per week than we would at Home of paying the amt of $2.00 do not think that I am living high or spending my money foolishly but it is as cheap
