I am leaving here ^ in a few days
for your home ground - Honolulu. I hope
all is in order for Ravinia. I am to
stay with Mr. Edward Bryson-Smith
Lake Forest. I gather this is
very convenient. I will let
you know when I arrive in Chicago
- about July 1st. Is the rehearsal
situation clear - when & where? - &
how long? We must consider bowings
&tc. Probably you could let me have
1st desks of all string parts V.W. 'London'
& Sib II - they can be worked on
the 4th, in anticipation of our 1st
rehearsal - they are difficult [?]
- but I know the orchestra is very
good.
