User-Contributed Transcription 23of five little sisters, killed by an accident of the most horrible kind, lying side by side in the midst of a thick forest, far from the residence of any human beings and those that were near and dear to them compelled to leave them in their lone resting place, there to remain until the grave shall give up its dead, The tears of agony that were shed over those mortal remains and around these graves have been sufficient to move the hardest of hearts, and many has been the tear that has fell from the eyes of strangers and lone travellers, while contemplating the sad events that hastened those dear beloved little children into the presence of their God. After spending about one hour around this little grave yard, contemplating the sad event, I again started on my course through the same kind of burnt wood for about seven miles farther, when the trail entered a gigantic growth of green timber similar to that after leaving the Bay, only more Cedar is to be found on this part of the route, and after twenty eight miles travel from Empire City the trail emerged from the thick forest and after travelling over sand hills for about one mile came to the place known as "Randolph City" where a little town was built up during the gold excitement on the beach in the close vicinity in the years 1854 & 5.
