Dear Gladys.
I got home al O.K. but
didn't find any one here and I didn't
have a key so I broke the lock on
the back door and got in. Everett had
been send out of town to work and
his mother locked up the house and
left for the night.
I had a good time at your house
and intended to write you all before
this but I just put it off from one
day to next.
I started back to work this week
it is hot but I wanted to work and
buy a bed room suit[e] this winter.
I guess you are still working and did
you get your sink put in the kitchen
I hope you have by now.
Charlie was here last Sun and said
Gladys was in Chicago.
We went to pat's funeral last Sun
it was so sad and to think he was
killed so sudden it made it so hard
for the Family.
I have been cleaning to-day and
I have a little washing to do.
