User-Contributed Transcription going but my expectations were more than realizedin a business point of view You ask me to tell you something about the Engineering DepartmentI think the profession of Civil Engineering holdsout the most reliable inducements, and willfor the next ten or twenty years, after an industriousenterprising and ambitious young manthan any to which he can devote his talents:I will give you my reasons. The Railroad spiritis vividly alive, engaging the the influenceof the talent and wealth of the country. This great and growing enterprise ks but barelyin motion.
