Any favors you can show us by sending a "first rate" fellow will be thankfully received. I have written to ? for one, but the prospect of securing him is doubtful. If it should be your pleasure to write me concerning this matter, please do so immediately - and I will know by that time if any one will be here from the East.In regards myself - health is good- I have a good situation in the Columbus, Piqua, & Indiana R.R. as Civil Engineer - have charge of the Western Division of the Road. Pay is better than teaching will afford. I'm not confined that near all my time is occupied in the work consequently, there is an opportunity for reading and study which I am happy to improve.All the reports I hear of your school speak - prosperity' Happy to learn
